Production Used: Rehearsal & Backup Pair

From Season 4, Chapter 4 is Yuri Ismaylov's Maintenance Gloves. This pair are the rehearsal and backup pair which are considerably different from the screen used pair that Nikola Ðuričko's character wore on screen.

This backup pair feature much more darker and intense colouring with signs of wear and tear from production. A major difference between both pairs is the inside lining of the gloves:

Rehearsal / Backup Pair: Blue Lining

Screen Used Pair: Black Lining

Although this pair of gloves may not have appeared in the finished scenes, they still form part of the story behind Stranger Things Season 4. Used as rehearsal and a backup pair, they were part of the production process that helped bring the scenes and Nikola Ðuričko's character to life. Rehearsal props are used during preparation and rehearsals, allowing scenes and movements to be practised before filming. The backup gloves were kept by the production as a spare in case the primary pair was damaged, lost, or required as a replacement during filming.

Yuri Ismaylov makes his first appearance in Season 4 whose loyalty is driven by money rather than principle. Introduced through his remote warehouse and aircraft operation, Yuri immediately establishes himself as an unpredictable figure capable of helping or hindering Joyce and Murray's mission to rescue Hopper. The gloves hold a reminder of the Kamchatka Prison storyline and also remind us of the unpredictable, humorous and money hungry smuggler that is, Yuri Ismaylov.
